Perks of an Internship

I am interning for the food and beverage company, David Laris Creates–more specifically his newest modern Shanghainese concept, Le Sheng located in the heart of the French Concession.  As their marketing and PR intern, my main responsibilities is to assist the marketing director in reaching out to media contacts, both domestic and international.  My goal for outreaching is to publicize and promote the restaurant to generate more traffic.  Now to the "perks" of the internship; aside from the hands-on experience I gain, my taste buds are also being satisfied.  I am offered weekly to bi-weekly complimentary lunches and dinners at Le Sheng as well as the other branches of David Laris.  I have visited Downstairs and The Fat Olive, both fine dining restaurants for FREE!  The food at all these venues were excellent and the environment felt very classy and welcoming.
